Sophia Lanting, CFP®, CDFA®

Sophia defines success as empowering clients, family, and friends to live by their why. She is passionate about making personal finance easier through financial planning and guiding clients through life transitions. By making things simpler and offering support, her clients feel confident and secure about their future.

A Greeley native, she graduated from Greeley Central High School (2002) and the University of Northern Colorado (B.S., 2005). She began her financial planning career in 2007 when she joined her father, Steve Waechter, in practice and carries his legacy forward while also creating her own. In 2024 Sophia earned her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation to continue supporting her clients through ongoing  education.

Outside of work, Sophia loves spending time with her family. She enjoys skiing and sailing with her husband, Bryant, and their two kids. They go skiing at Snowy Range Ski Area and sailing at Boyd Lake. They also have two dogs, Georgia and Kona, who are learning to love to the water just like the rest of the family.
